The Rainbow® Lap Board facilitates the "knee-to-knee" technique for oral exams, similar in function to our Rainbow Lap Cushion. The vinyl-covered Rainbow Lap Board is intended for those customers who prefer a more rigid surface for the patient to lie upon. There is a board inside the vinyl cover, with shredded foam on top of that, so the surface is soft and comfortable for the patient, and conforms to the specific body shape. The rigid platform provides a secure surface to "bridge" the knees, so the patient feels supported. Note that the patient must always be held securely by the caregiver and/or dentist.
